Title: DIN ISO-9002 IN A MEAT PROCESSING PLANT EXEMPLIFIED AT THE RECEIVING INSPECTION .2. QUALITY DATA DOCUMENTATION AND CLASSIFICATION OF THE SUPPLIERS

Abstract: From June 1992 to December 1993 on 114 deliveries of meat a receiving inspection in a meat processing plant was performed using a specially developed quality procedure. The quality data documentation was seperated into pork and beef where the whole inspection intervall was devided into two parts to be able to show, how the corrective actions worked. These corrective actions and the consequent documentation not only showed big differences between the four pork- and eight beef-suppliers, they also led to the exclusion of two suppliers, as they were not able to fulfill the quality level. The evaluation of the suppliers was performed using a modified version of the FMEA. It is now used to classify the supplieres.
